A single vehicle accident in Deep Creek closed Highway 97 north of Williams Lake for a period of time Thursday, Aug. 11.
The accident occurred at 3 p.m. near Kragback Road.
Police say a northbound car pulling a small utility trailer lost control and went off the road.
An investigation has determined that one of the trailer’s tires had blown, causing the driver to lose control and go into the northbound ditch. All four occupants of the vehicle were taken to Cariboo Memorial Hospital for various injuries; they are in stable condition.
The injuries do not appear to be serious.
The collision remains under investigation.
