Three people were sent to hospital after a head-on collision near Lumby Wednesday.
The RCMP, firefighters and paramedics were called to Highway 6, one kilometre west of Lumby, at about 7:45 a.m. after two vehicles collided.
“Three people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.
“One person did sustain rib fractures and because of their age, it could be serious.”
All of the individuals involved in the accident were from Lumby.
“The incident closed the highway for a short period of time,” said Molendyk.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage and the incident remains under investigation.
