A 26-year-old Agassiz man is being investigated after he was arrested in North Vancouver Tuesday. RCMP recieved a warning from Agassiz mounties that the man was travelling from in the direction of the North Shore in possesion of stolen property and firearms.
At about 1:30 p.m. a North Vancouver officer located the man’s newer model GMC pickup just as it entered the North Vancouver area.
Several westbound lanes of Highway 1 near Westview Drive were blocked with four or five police vehicles before RCMP made the arrest without any struggle from the suspect.
Firearms were located inside his vehicle and seized by RCMP.
The man is known to police. As of Friday he has been released pending an investigation and no charges have been laid.
