Social issues like addictions, health care, education, homelessness are so closely linked to the economy that it only makes sense to discuss them in the same forum.
That was the thinking of organizers with the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce and Chilliwack Healthier Community who are proud to be co-presenting the 2020 Provincial All-Candidates Meeting next Wednesday.
“Please join us for an exciting evening of live debates in each riding, and learn more about your candidates to make an educated vote,” according to organizers in a release.
The virtual all-candidates meeting is slated for Oct. 14, 2020, and will be livestreamed on Youtube.com with the link below.
Questions can be asked of candidates using Slido.com with the event code: #chwkdebate
Both electoral districts will see candidates grilled the same night, with the Chilliwack riding from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and the Chilliwack-Kent riding from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Organizers are asking that everyone make sure to submit their questions in their own riding using the ‘room’ selection in Slido.
Voters can use this link to watch the provincial election candidates square off in cyber space.
