As well, the extreme cold warning in the Cariboo has ended, as of 4:37 a.m.

As of 5:42 a.m., the temperature in Quesnel is -25 C, according to Environment Canada, with a wind chill of -29 C.

As the day goes on, the light snow is expected to end this morning, then it will be cloudy, with a 40-per-cent chance of flurries. Winds are expected to be up to 15 kilometres per hour, and the win chill is forecast to be -39 C this morning and -28 C this afternoon. Environment Canada warns that people can get frostbite in minutes.

The high today is forecast to be -21 C in Quesnel.

Tonight, it is expected to be cloudy, with a 40-per-cent chance of flurries and wind up to 15 kilometres per hour. The risk of frostbite continues into the night, as the low is forecast to be 25 C, with a wind chill of -28 C in the evening and -33 C overnight.

In Nazko, the current weather is -28 C, which feels like -29 C, and it is expected to rise to -24 C during the day, then drop back to -28 C this evening. According to The Weather Network, it is currently overcast, and there is a 40-per-cent chance of flurries this afternoon and tonight.

Wells is sitting at -19 C (which feels like -23 C) as of 5:45 a.m., according to The Weather Network, and the temperature is expected to be -15 C today and -25 C tonight. There is a 40-per-cent chance of flurries today and tonight.
