The Golden-Field RCMP have located the missing 27 year old Amanda Orlowski, and she has been reported “safe and sound.”

According to Facebook reports, a neighbour saw Orlowski getting into a maroon and grey early model Ford F-150 around 6 p.m. on May 24 from the Bear Paw Lodge in the Blaeberry. The neighbour also said the truck had an old camper on it, and stickers on the back, however RCMP were unable to confirm these details during the investigation.

Golden and District Search and Rescue were initially deployed to help locate the missing woman, but their search was discontinued. Golden-Field RCMP brought in extra assistance and resources from Kelowna to help locate Orlowski. On Tuesday afternoon, RCMP were in a full task force and were taking the “sudden and unexplained disappearance” very seriously.

“We are actively following up on all tips received regarding Amanda’s disappearance,” said Cst. Spencer Lainchbury with the Golden-Field RCMP, before Orlowski was located. “Additional resources have also been brought in from Kelowna to assist with the investigation.”

The RCMP are thanking the media and the public for their assistance in locating Orlowski.
