Anticipation rising ahead of RMR opening day

More snow expected to fall overnight

Almost 70 cm of snow has fallen in the last week at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

There’s still more expected to come as RMR prepares for opening day tomorrow.

The resort has announced that rides on the Revelation Gondola will be mandatory to get off the mountain; there just isn’t enough snow at lower elevations.

In a post on their website this week, they also cover some other opening day conditions: “respect all closures, tree skiing is strongly discourages, intermediate and advanced skiing only.”

The terrain will also be open on Dec. 2 with a few rail features.

Another 7 cm of snow is expected to fall today with 7 more expected overnight.

Stay tuned for coverage from opening day this weekend.
