The French Creek Residents Association is hosting an all-candidates meeting for the position of director of Area G in the Regional District of Nanaimo on Oct. 11
Longtime serving director Joe Stanhope is retiring and there are three candidates that are vying for his position at this coming election — Lehann Wallace, Duane Round and Clarke Gourlay.
The debate will take place at 7 p.m. at St. Columba Presbyterian Church, 921 Wembley Rd., Parksville. The moderator will be Reverend Phil Spencer of St. Stephen’s United Church.
The public is welcome to attend.
Area G is comprised of French Creek, Dashwood and Englishman River.
