He was dressed in a hooded sweater, black bandana and may have been brandishing a handgun, police said Monday in a statement issued about an armed robbery in Lake Country.
The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, launching a widespread manhunt with officers from Lake Country and Kelowna engaged in the search almost as soon as he left the Shell gas station at 9531 Highway 97 in Lake Country Friday night.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. The suspect allegedly entered the gas station store, pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the attendant and executed the robbery.
He is described as five-foot, eight inches tall to five-foot, nine inches tall, 210 pounds and carrying a black handgun.
