A Saanich man walked into Victoria police headquarters Saturday just before 11 a.m. with facial injuries and wounds to the back of his head.
Officers applied first aid and the 20-year-old was rushed to hospital. Police reported that he had been struck with a blunt instrument.
An investigation led to the arrest later the same day of a 47-year-old Victoria man inside a suite in the 700-block of Fisgard St. where police say the attack took place.
The suspect was expected to appear in court Monday (April 16) to face charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. He also is wanted on two arrest warrants in Cranbrook.
