Arrest warrant issued for Nanaimo man

NANAIMO – Police issue arrest warrant after man fails to return to Nanaimo Regional Correctional Centre.

Nanaimo Mounties have issued an arrest warrant for Robert McGeorge, who failed to show up for a check-in at Nanaimo Regional Correctional Centre.

Nanaimo RCMP have issued a Canada-wide warrant for Robert McGeorge, 40, for being unlawfully at large.

McGeorge was serving an intermittent sentence at Nanaimo Regional Correction Centre and failed to show for his 6 p.m. check-in on Friday, which prompted Mounties to issue the arrest warrant.

McGeorge, of no fixed address, is 5-foot-10, 150 pounds and has brown hair, blue eyes and a tattoo on his chest.
