A Langley man and two underage counterparts are facing charges in connection with a violent street robbery that happened in Walnut Grove early Saturday morning.
Timothy William Greenwood, 18, along with a 16-year-old male from Surrey and 17-year-old male from Mission were set to appear in court today (Monday) to face charges of robbery, attempted robbery and possession of stolen property for the April 16 incident.
In the very early hours of the morning, Greenwood and his counterparts are accused of having pulled up beside two men who were walking home from Tim Hortons and attacking them with a baseball bat.
The first victim was struck once and managed to run away to call police.
The second man was not as fortunate. He was struck several times and pepper sprayed. He was robbed of his cellphone and wallet before the suspects drove away in what was later determined to be a stolen van.
The first victim provided a good description of the suspect vehicle and a van matching his description was found at a gas station nearby. All three men inside were arrested for the robbery.
Both victims are recovering from their injuries.
