Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating an alleged pepper spray incident and have arrested a man on an unrelated matter.
On Wednesday, June 12, at around 4:40 p.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to a call in the 22500-block area of Royal Crescent. A man had advised staff at the Royal Crescent modular units that he had allegedly been pepper sprayed approximately 20 minutes earlier, at another location, by an unknown suspect, police said in a news release.
The man was not cooperative with police.
While on scene, police identified and arrested another man in the area who had an outstanding warrant on an unrelated matter.
The building was not evacuated and only a small area was impacted by the spray, according to residents.
Police said at the time that one patient was affected by the spray and it was still being determined whether the person neededs to go to the hospital.
