Kitimat cadet Tristan Hall got to spend two weeks of his summer vacation at the Vernon Cadet Training Centre and attend a General Training Course.
The General Training Course (GTC) is an introduction to the Army Cadet Program that helps jumpstart the development of life skills.
Tristan recently completed his first year as a cadet and hopes to continue in the program. He said his experience so far has been an amazing learning opportunity.
“This is a very fun and safe environment to learn in,” said Tristan.
The cadet program is a non-profit organization that aims to achieve high standings in citizenship and leadership, to promote physical fitness, and to cultivate a general interest in the air, land and sea elements of the Canadian Forces.
