The Barriere RCMP are currently seeking the public’s assistance in investigating an attempted arson at the Canada Post Office in Barriere, which occurred sometime between the evening hours of Dec. 31, 2018, and the early morning hours of Jan. 3, 2019.
RCMP Corporal Welsman reported, “The suspect(s) removed various loose items from the walls of the post office box area and lit a fire on the floor, causing damage to the carpeting and a counter top.”
He noted, “The damage was minimal and has not affected Canada Post’s operations.”
