An ATV accident near Likely sent a 26-year-old driver to hospital Monday.

The accident occurred Aug. 1 at approximately 8:24 p.m. According to the RCMP, the driver had been seen leaving private property standing up on the moving quad and a short time later was found unconscious on the public roadway by a witness.

The driver was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Cariboo Memorial Hospital for observation. RCMP suggest alcohol may have been a factor in the incident. Possible charges under the B.C.
