A snowmobiler has died following an avalanche north of Chase on Sunday morning.
Shuswap Search and Rescue confirmed to media that the snowmobiler has died in the avalanche on Crowfoot Mountain, home to the Crowfoot Mountain Snowmobile Club.
Search and rescue received a call at 11:45 a.m. and have since recovered the snowmobiler’s body.
The coroner will take over the investigation.
