There’s still an opportunity to celebrate Greater Vernon’s business community.
Today is the last day to get tickets for the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Awards, which take place Saturday at the Best Western Plus Vernon Lodge.
“Community members have been sending in nominations for awards such as marketer of the year, new business of the year, and even our newest category, exporter of the year,” said Kim Bourke, events co-ordinator.
“All nominees are considered for business of the year.”
The event also includes dinner, entertainment by the Creeks and live and silent auctions.
“We have some great items in the auctions including a signed and framed picture of the great Wayne Gretzky donated by Blenz, a getaway to Predator Ridge and even an Xbox 360 from Telus,” said Bourke.
The feature speaker is Troy Mitchell on the secret of self-suggestion.
Tickets are $75 each or $536 for a table of eight and they are on sale until noon today.
