PARKSVILLE — Police are asking the public keept an eye out for an Ontario teen who might be in the area.
Sergeant Darrell Robertson said the RCMP, is helping Peel Regional Police in Ontario in the search for Emma Lokelani Woods, 15, who was reported missing from her home in Mississauga.
Woods is believed to have boarded a Greyhound bus on Jan. 11 with the intention of heading to British Columbia.
“She had previously lived in B.C. before moving to Ontario in the autumn of 2011 and it is believed that she has returned,” Robertson said.
The young girl has contacts in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. She is five feet, five inches tall and 137 pounds with a light complexion, shoulder length blonde hair (possibly dyed a different colour), and hazel eyes. She has an earring in her nose and a mole on her right shoulder.
Robertson said police don’t know how Woods is currently dressed.
Woods was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and black yoga pants, carrying a pink and black backpack.
The public is asked to contact the police at 250-248-6111 if they have seen the missing girl, or if they have any information as to her location.
