B.C. teachers can hold a three-day strike, as long as they give two days notice, the Labour Relations Board ruled.
After that, they can withdraw their services for one day a week.
The BC Teachers’ Federation asked the BC Labour Relations Board Monday night for an interim order allowing teachers to withdraw instruction for four days a week, for two weeks.
A bill is expected to be introduced into legislature early this week, but it isn’t clear whether the Liberals still plan to impose an new contract or are looking into a settlement.
