BACA members are gearing up for their annual 100 Mile Ride Saturday

On May 21, Mid Vancouver Island – Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) will be hosting their annual 100 Mile Awareness Ride followed by a fundraising dance at the Florence Filberg Center.

There will be door prizes, a 50/50 draw and a silent auction. The silent auction boasts some impressive items such as an Alaskan cruise, five days/four nights at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, a trip to the country music awards, a trip for two to Aruba, Lucky Lager collectors items, custom pro golf club set and much more.

The $15 registration is open to anyone who rides a motorcycle (all brands). The group will meet at Bayview Motorcycles in Parksville.

Registration starts at 10:30 a.m., kickstands up at noon. We will ride to Ladysmith, and back up to Courtenay, finishing at the Florence Filberg Center. There will be food vendor trucks available on site after the ride and limited snacks and pizza available at the dance. No minors are allowed, as this is a licensed event.

We are expecting upwards of 300 bikes; by participating you will be helping B.A.C.A., kids, bringing awareness to our cause and having a great time doing it. Slap on your gloves, strap on your helmets and lets ride to make a difference.

If you want to participate in the ride and attend the dance tickets will be $25. Dance tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Weaver’s Leather and Courtenay MotorSports; Machine Gun Kelly’s rock tribute band will provide entertainment.

BACA is a registered non profit organization who empowers children to not fear the world in which they live. If you want to learn more about our cause, what you can do to help or need more information in regards to the 100 Mile Awareness Ride or dance, contact us at events@bacamvi.ca.

All funds raised stay on Vancouver Island to help support our young B.A.C.A. Heroes.
