The man accused of a Penticton shooting is still seeking counsel as his bail hearing was delayed Monday (Jan. 16).
Harley Maxwell McBride, 34, is facing a long list of 15 charges including pointing a firearm, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, intentionally discharging a firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to an order and three counts of assault with a weapon.
His bail hearing in Penticton Provincial Court on Jan. 16 was adjourned as McBride has yet to secure legal counsel. McBride returns to court on Jan. 18.

Police said that on Jan. 9 at 1:20 a.m. RCMP investigated a report of a shooting at a residence on the 600 block of Martin Street. An investigation revealed two males allegedly entered an apartment where they confronted another male. RCMP said the male was assaulted and a shot was fired inside the residence, but did not injure anyone inside.
Police followed up on a report of a gunshot heard at 4:30 a.m. the same night in the 500 block of Eckhardt Avenue West. Police believe an altercation occurred between those involved with the earlier incident on Martin Street.
Police said a 24-year-old man was being treated for non-life threatening wounds from a gunshot and all individuals were known to each other.
