The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 242 in Barriere last week awarded a number of grants from gaming money raised through their annual meat draws and 50/50 draws. In total, just under $9,000 was given to important organizations that service the community and area.

Cheques were also written for $1760 to Barriere Soccer, and Barriere First Responders who were not at the presentation.
