BC Hydro crews are attending to a power outage that is affecting approximately 1,000 customers in Prince Rupert.
The outage occured at 12:25 p.m. on Dec. 3, and is affecting customers North of Mount Hayes Road and West of Gomez Avenue.
Dave Mosure, northern community relations coordinator with BC Hydro, said the cause of the outage was an equipment failure.
Mosure said crews anticipate being able to restore power by 3:30 p.m. to all but one customer.
