For the hundreds, perhaps thousands of people who were there, Qualicum Beach Day 2016 was a real hands-on affair.
There were many things to touch and explore, from live creatures dragged from the Salish Sea to a dissected shark.
The weather was fabulous and the tide was out for most of the event on Sunday, which made for a great day on the beach. Add in the dozens of displays, face-painting, entertainment and much more, and Beach Day was a great success again this year.
