OVER the past 24 hours these are some of the events to which Terrace RCMP responded:
Downtown Terrace
– report of a robbery where a youth punched another youth, then took his ipod.
– an intoxicated male who was disturbing drivers with panhandling was arrested and held in custody until sober and issued violation tickets.
– two intoxicated females was arrested and held until sober, violation tickets issued.
– police responded to a domestic assault in progress. Female party was arrested and released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
– Break and Enter; unknown suspect(s) smashed front glass door at McBike and stole a Kona Supreme Operator bike. Still under investigation.
Elsewhere in Terrace
– Northwest Traffic Services served two prohibition notices to drivers and charged one driver with Drive while Prohibited.
– a false residential alarm.
– report of a “dine and dash”, suspects later returned on own and paid for meal.
– two bear complaints, one on top of Lanfear hill and the second in the 5000 block of Agar Ave.
– report of a suicidal male which turned out to be false.
– report of possible impaired driver.
– police assisted children and families ministry worker with checking on young child.
– report of shots fired, patrols made and determined the noise was caused by fireworks.
– police responded to two noise complaints.
– youth reported missing.
– report of an intoxicated youth causing a disturbance, patrols were negative.
Thornhill
– suspicious person in empty lot, patrols were negative
– false residential alarm
– report of a disturbance in a residence. Police attended and everyone calmed down. Alcohol a factor.
Kitselas, Gitaus
– abandoned 911 call, confirmed false.
– police responded to a noise complaint.
Rural
– report of shots fired, patrols were negative.
