Bikers lose transportation for excessive speed on Highway 5

Police stop seven bikers and impound six of the motorcycles

On Saturday, Aug. 18, just before 10 a.m.,  police created a road block on Highway 5 in Louis Creek (just across from the Antique Store), where they proceeded to pull over seven motorcycle riders from Alberta and Saskatchewan who were travelling in a group.  Six of the seven were ticketed for excessive speed, with one clocked at 202 km/h.  Six of the bikes were impounded under the Motor Vehicle Act, and the seventh rider was ticketed for speeding.
