Abbotsford residents who look skyward this afternoon are likely to spot a rare visitor.
The Blue Angels’ No. 7 jet will be flying into town and landing at Abbotsford International Airport at 2 p.m.
Members of the U.S. Navy’s elite aerobatic team are coming to the airport to review operational needs in advance of their performance at this year’s Abbotsford International Airshow (Aug. 10 to 12). It will be the Blue Angels’ first local performance in 15 years.
Students from Ten-Broeck Elementary School and the Abbotsford School District’s aviation program will be at the airport to watch the jet land and ask the pilots questions afterwards.
