BC Coroners Service is investigating the death of an ATV rider in Terrace earlier this week.
Around 10:20 a.m. on Aug. 12 Terrace RCMP responded a report of a body found on a quad trail near Beam Station Road. They located a deceased man in his 70s and an ATV nearby.
BC Coroner’s Service has confirmed the man is from Terrace, and are now in the early stages of a fact-finding investigation to determine how and when the man died.

Terrace Search and Rescue was called to the scene with a Rhino off-road vehicle to recover the man’s body from the bottom of the trail.
The victim’s name is not being released. The cause of death is not suspicious.
In the past 10 years in B.C. there were 127 deaths involving ATVs, 33 of which occurred within the Northern Health Authority’s jurisdiction, according to the Coroners Service.
