Body of man found in Fosthall area Saturday

A hat which is believed to belong to the missing mushroom picker Kyung Chun was found by an RCMP dog handler searching in the Fosthall area on Saturday, October 5.

On Sunday, Oct. 6 Nakusp Search and Rescue attended to the scene and with the assistance of the RCMP police service dogs found the body of a man in the bush. The man was located approximately three kilometres along a side road, and a further 40 metres into the forest. There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body and foul play is not suspected, a press released stated.

A positive identification has not been completed as yet, although it is strongly believed by police to be the body of 71-year-old Kyung Chun of Burnaby. The the case being referred to the BC Coroners Office who will issue a further release once identification has been completed.
