Dec. 26 was an early start for many people as they switched from giving to getting in the hunt for Boxing Day deals.
About 175 people were lined up outside the Langley Best Buy when it opened at 6 a.m.
Other stores are also geared up for the Boxing Day crowds as many opt to shop in person versus online.
Ron Leo arrived at the Langley Best Buy about 5:30 a.m. for its 6 a.m. opening and he ended up about halfway down the line of people who queued up. Some had overnighted to get first crack at TVs.
“I did that once many years ago for A&B Sound,” he said of camping out for bargains. “Never again.”
Leo has a 55-inch TV at home, but was at the Willoughby store to pick up a deal on a 72-inch flatscreen.
