The Haans Creek bridge near Sandspit is now open to two-way traffic, following a couple of weeks of repairs. The support piles on the land side of the bridge were damaged on Oct. 16 by a large log, and one lane of the bridge was closed, and a weight restriction imposed, while repairs were carried out. The repairs are now finished, according to O’Brien Road and Bridge, and the bridge is open to two way traffic once again. The damaged piles have been replaced and additional protective piles have been added. O’Brien’s says it apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks everyone for their patience and understanding throughout the repair process.
