Transformation is dramatic on the site of the extensive Mariner’s Village residential/commercial development along Sooke Road. Phase one will see the building of the first 33 condominiums and 17 townhouses. Commercial business along with a marina and slips for 159 boats are in the plans. Spokesman Mike Barrie said on Jan. 17 that although the start of construction was a month overdue, workers have since caught up and the project is on schedule.
