A two-vehicle accident on Highway 3 in the Nursery area of Grand Forks caused minor injuries, according to first responders.
Dale Heriot, chief of Grand Forks Fire/Rescue, said the call came in around 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning. It was a two-vehicle accident, in which one of the vehicles was a heavy-bucket truck and the other was a small car.
Cpl. Wolfram said the accident caused minor injuries to both parties and there are no fatalities. Both vehicles were travelling westbound when the car lost control of the vehicle; the truck tried to avoid the accident but clipped the car and rolled onto its side.
Wolfram said West Kootenay Traffic Services is investigating, and the road was closed for two hours before moving to single lane alternating.
Heriot encouraged drivers to respond to road conditions and drive to the weather.
