19 kids and 11 adults tried their hand at archery last weekend in Sparwood at the new archery range at the golf club.
Youth provincial archery medalist Lane Ogden volunteered setting up little kids with club-provided bows so they could shoot arrows for the first time.
Dennis Meadows and Mike Ogden, volunteer coaches, explained the range safety rules, and quickly got the new archers used to range procedures.
One stegosaurus was mortally wounded, as was a Turkey, a baboon and several dozen balloons.
