Bumper-to-bumper traffic is causing delays for motorists heading into Victoria on the Trans-Canada Highway.
DriveBC web cam images from Saturday afternoon show that both lanes of Highway 1 heading towards Victoria are backed up near the Helmcken Overpass.
Reports from motorists say vehicles are backed up on the highway to Millstream Road and that construction at the McKenzie interchange has reduced traffic down to one lane.
Traffic is reportedly slowed to a crawl on Old Island Highway as well.
