Business nomination period extended

The Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce preparing for annual awards

The Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce will  give out  awards in 10 categories at the Community Excellence Awards in May, but the organization needs help and has extended the deadline for nominations in order to encourage more submissions.

Chamber executive director Patti Noonan says people can nominate organizations and individuals in a number of categories.

“You can submit nominations, either via e-mail or in person at the chamber,” said Noonan.

“There are many businesses, not-for-profit organizations and individuals who deserve recognition.”

The extended deadline for nominations is April 30.

Nomination forms are available through the chamber office, online at aschamber.com and on Facebook.

Nominees will be announced May 2 and will each receive a certificate.

Then nominees, sponsors and guests will gather at the ‘Flamingo Room’ in Centennial Hall May 14 and join the board, staff and volunteers for an evening of networking, presentations, entertainment, casino, prizes and refreshments in the theme of Vintage Vegas style.
