It’s a bit more of smooth sailing for BC Ferries Friday morning, as regular cable ferry service has been restored between Buckley Bay and Denman Island.

The Baynes Sound Connector was out of service Wednesday and into Thursday as a prawn trap got caught up in one of the cables.

BC Ferries spokeswoman Deborah Marshall said the company was forced to cancel several round trips.

As of Thursday morning, the route was being serviced by the Quadra Queen II. Late Thursday afternoon, the BSC could be seen shuttling back and forth between the islands.

The photo above shows the trap that was pulled out of the cable from the ferry.
