Cache Creek flood victims to benefit from concert

McGinley Family Troupe set to perform in 100 Mile House

A fundraising event in 100 Mile House is set for June 5 to benefit flood victims in Cache Creek.

The village in the British Columbia Interior was hit by a violent storm on May 23 that caused millions of dollars of damage in the small desert community, affecting dozens of homes and businesses.

Cariboo residents can assist their southern neighbours at a special benefit auction and concert at Martin Exeter Hall (behind the Red Coach Inn) in 100 Mile House on June 5.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The auction is at 7 p.m. A performance by the McGinley Family Troupe, direct from Barkerville’s Theatre Royal, begins at 8 p.m.

Admission is by donation at the door.
