Dwayne Thiessen, division manager at Canfor-Vavenby, puts his dignity on hold during a fundraising dunk-tank event held in the mechanics shop at the sawmill on Friday, Oct. 26. Employees got a chance to send Thiessen and other managers into the water for $5 per throw while eating beef on a bun and participatingin other activities. Three such events were held during the day, with the money raised going to the United Way for local charities and projects.
