A car crash occurred early Halloween morning. A Port Hardy commuter, who drives a grey Chevrolet sedan, crashed into a light post along Market Street, Port Hardy, on Oct. 31.
K&K Electric Ltd. was promptly on the scene to shut off power to the light post to prevent possible injuries to the public. The company will work on the light post in the afternoon.
The District of Port Hardy’s public works department immediately hauled away the light post little before 9 a.m. It is unconfirmed whether the district has an extra light post to replace the damaged one.
At 9:30 a.m., Applewood Autobody Towing & Glass towed the vehicle.
The North Island Gazette was unable to contact Port Hardy RCMP detachment for comment but will follow up with further details as they come.
