Car knocks down lamp post in Front Street crash

No one hurt in Saturday afternoon crash in front of Nanaimo-to-Gabriola ferry terminal

A car sheared a lamp pole in a crash this afternoon.

A Mercury Grand Marquis was involved in the accident, which happened Saturday at 3 p.m. on Front Street in front of the Nanaimo-to-Gabriola Island ferry terminal.

Occupants of the sedan weren’t hurt in the crash and two lanes of Front Street were closed as crews cleared the scene.
