The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has been alerted after approximately 18 dead sockeye salmon that had been filleted and the remains discarded in Chase Creek well away from the river on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Fisheries officials say they will be looking into the matter of illegal poaching of fish.
