One person was sent to hospital with injuries after a collision on Columbia Avenue in Castlegar mid-day Monday.
Police, ambulance and emergency response crews were called to the scene where a passenger vehicle rear-ended a pick-up truck at the railway tracks on Columbia.
The passenger vehicle’s front-end was crushed when it struck the truck. One person was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Traffic was slowed on the busy road for about an hour while crews cleaned up the mess caused by the incident.
There’s no word whether charges will be laid in the collision.
