The evacuation alerts for some properties in the vicinity of Keremeos have been rescinded while Cathedral Lakes Lodge moves from an evacuation order to an alert.
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen said due to the threat of wildfire in the vicinity of Cathedral Provincial Park, southwest of Keremeos, and because of the potential danger to life, health and property damage, Cathedral Lakes Lodge and Basecamp are under an evacuation alert.

On Aug. 24 an evacuation order was issued and those in the area had to leave immediately for the second time this summer.
The RDOS is reminding all area residents to remain vigilant during the challenging wildfire season.
The evacuation alert, issued by the Village of Keremeos on July 31 was rescinded for the properties situation on the south side of Highway 3A and 7th Ave through the Village.
The alert in the vicinity of rural Keremeos (Area G) and Cawston (Area B) issued on July 31 was also rescinded for the properties on the south/southwest side of Highway 3 extending from 10th Ave in west rural Keremeos to the northern boundary of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band lands.
Properties that are on Chopaka Road, south of the community of Cawston (Area B) that were issued on Aug. 6 are also rescinded.
An area west of rural Keremeos, from 10th Ave west to the Ashnola Forest Service Road, remains under evacuation alert due to ongoing wildfire activity in the area.
