The story of a Comox Valley man who was lynched in Peru in the spring of 2018 will be revisited tonight on CBC’s The Fifth Estate.
Sebastian Woodroffe, 41, was studying hallucinogenic medicine in Peru when he was killed by a mob after being blamed for murdering Indigenous shaman Olivia Arevalo Lomas.
In May 2018, Woodroffe was officially named the main suspect in Lomas death by the National Police of Peru.

Sunday evening, The Fifth Estate will air an episode called “Murder in the Jungle” that delves into what really happened in the Peruvian Jungle on April 19.
The episode will air at 9 p.m. on CBC.
