A 19-year-old Central Saanich man is being charged with 29 counts of crimes involving 15 children.
Seamus Weeks has been charged on multiple counts with luring a child via a computer, possession, access and making of child pornography and invitation to sexual touching and extortion.
“In working with the Integrated Child Exploitation team who first brought it to our attention, we launched a very lengthy investigation,” said Cpl. Dan Cottingham with Central Saanich Police.
Police say the allegations date back to Sept. 2015 and ran until June of this year, with many underage individuals having come forward with allegations of inappropriate online communications.
Weeks has officially been charged and is out on bail with a number of conditions.
The investigation is ongoing, and Weeks’ next court appearance is Dec. 1.
