Bob Gay was re-elected as board chair for the Regional District of East Kootenay last week.
This will be the Electoral Area C director’s ninth term as chair of RDEK. Gay has served on the board for almost 15 years, beginning in 2005.
“I’d like to thank my fellow directors for their ongoing support. It is an honour to serve as chair of this organization and I look forward to another rewarding year,” he said.
The annual elections also selected the vice chair for 2020 and Village of Radium Hot Springs mayor Clara Reinhardt was declared winner. This will be Reinhardt’s second term as vice chair.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed filling the role of vice chair over the past year, and am excited to continue to work with chair Gay and the rest of the board in this capacity in 2020,” Reinhardt said.
