The Summerland Rotary Sunday Market will begin its fifth season later this spring, with Linda Van Alphen taking the role of manager.
Van Alphen, who has also managed the Summerland Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Sharing Stand, replaces past manager Laurel Burnham, who has retired due to health issues.
The markets will be held in downtown Summerland. They will begin June 9 and will continue until Sept. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Sunday.

Van Alphen is considering some changes to the markets for this year.
One of the changes is a consignment area for those who have items to sell but are not able to be present during the time of the markets.
Van Alphen is also considering having service organizations making breakfasts for people at the markets.
A children’s section, where children can sell their produce or crafts, is also being considered.
Those interested in participating at the markets this year are asked to contact Van Alphen by email at vanalphenl@shaw.ca or by telephone at 250-486-3488.
