Those travelling between Chemainus and Penelakut Island may have noticed the ferry is still running — but being pulled by a tug assist.
That’s because the MV Kuper was damaged by a log in the water Wednesday, Feb. 9.
The log damaged the right angle dry, a BC Ferries representative said.
The vessel is only running a half hour late but will be out of the water by 8 p.m. Thursday.
BC Ferries is bringing in another ship, the MV Klitsa.
The MV Kuper will be back on route in about a week.
